Mr. A S Lakshmanan has been the Chairman and Managing Director of Senapathy Whiteley Limited and has been the driving force behind all the efforts of the Company since inception, being intimately involved with all aspects of the company’s growth over these years. He is also the guiding force behind the other three companies in the Senapathy Group.

Mr. Lakshmanan has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Loughborough University in the UK. He has been a path-breaker on the Indian industrial scene, spearheading ventures that were previously not attempted in the country. He firmly believes in the value of high-end technology for the core sector and in the importance of constantly upgrading skills and technology in order to stay afloat and be globally competitive.

Over the years, Mr. Lakshmanan has been associated with several companies in an advisory role. The list includes organisations such as Infogix, Kirloskar, John Fowler, and Nettur Technical Training Foundation, among others. He has also been connected with a number of national and international trade associations, including the National Safety Council (Karnataka chapter), the Bangalore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Institution of Engineers in India, and the UK-based Electrical Research Association, to name just a few.

Mr. Lakshmanan has regularly supported important social initiatives, the most prominent among these are related to the financial contributions made by the Senapathy group of companies towards improving amenities for the residents of Ramnagaram and neighbouring areas where the Company's manufacturing facilities are located.

Mr. Lakshmanan’s professional accomplishments have earned him immense all-round respect at all levels of the society in trade, business and commerce as well as in Industrial sector and government circles. He has been nominated to various national & state developmental institutions and statutory bodies and is the recipient of the Karnataka Rajyothsava award, the highest award in the State of Karnataka, in recognition of his contributions to the community.
